Loaded down with hickory and hedge now. Love it. Very stingy with wood, yet keeps the house at 74 all over (5 zones) and makes umpteen gazillion gallons of DHW a day for this big family.
Supposed ro be a low of 12°F but it's already 9°F and it's only 830. So I expect more like around zero deg. None the less the stove is loaded and the house is low 70s
It’s a balmy 8 degrees F tonight. Burning some big chunks of Ponderosa. 79 in the house right now. Gotta back the Jotul off a bit so we can get some sleep tonight
"The stars at night were big and bright" (apologies to Texas) last night when I went to fire up. It ended up dropping to -7f, then the clouds rolled in. It is a very mild 14f right now!

Many times you can hear it, you know that now. What a difference, Penn. to where you are now. I told you way back then.
35, NG, heading out to go for a walk with the dog. Two more weeks rehab before I can go back to working. Twelve weeks total.
Wow. Looking at the forecast it appears we definitely will have a green Christmas here. Supposed to warm up by Friday then really warm for a few days. As for today, so far we've had some wonderful sunshine! Looks like that very well might end soon though. I hope to get out to finish the job I started yesterday but first this old body need some TLC. Hope it eases things as I really want to work outdoors.
