Okay. I did not realize they went that late on any cars.

I'm sitting right next to my 76 caddy that I traded roof work for, years ago before I joined the army. Sadly, it's awaiting the time I can pull the drivetrain and part it out. It's way too far gone to restore.

Always loved the look of suicide doors, when I see an older car with them and say it out loud my kids think I’m bananas

Something else that most cars are missing now is that hump in the center of the floorboard.

I also remember when I was a little boy, the family car had the radiator at the rear of the engine, which meant that the radiator cap was right by the windshield. And if I remember right, that windshield opened a little bit at the bottom. Nice design...

That just doesn't make sense! Where would the radiator gets the air flow needed for it's cooling?

Do you remember what vehicle it was had that? (Probably the ones with the overheated and seized engines!)

If I remember rightly, it must have been the model T. I was very young.

I think the gas tank was in that location. I remember stories of folks having to back up hills if they were low on fuel.

Edit- I take it back. It was the model A I was thinking of.

You may have been right in that! Thinking back (a long, long time) it very well could have been. A really sad place for it!

A posting in Everything Else got me to thinking.
Remember when small rural towns became ghost towns on Sunday. No Walmart, Target, Kohles. Everything closed up on Sunday. You was lucky if you could get some gas.
I remember when Lawson's came to town. They were open on Sunday. The old folks thought it was awful. Younger folk thought it was great to be able to get milk on Sunday.
    Remember the Big O jingle?

I do remember stores being extended hours open for Christmas shopping, but I don't think they were open on Sundays.
