If you know where to go, this is not a problem. Don't go to Mexico City, but then again you wouldn't go to Mexico City for the beach... Another big tip, don't go pizzing off the local cartels, and don't talk to the federales. The police are super corrupt down there. Keep to yourself, enjoy yourself, you'll be fine. Mexico is safer than the Dominican Republic now.
Yeah, I would've stuck with the hardware vs. Mexico also. Nothing but memories from one expenditure vs. something to pass on with the other! I traveled to enough foreign countries in my life.
Right on! I keep a single shot handi-rifle in .223; a old single shot 20ga; and a Mossberg .410 pump up there at all times for "yard work." The .223 has accounted for 6 raccoon, and the shotguns have accounted for numerous grouse out of our yard and off our private road.
