Was outside today. Cutting up a little kindling.

26* out now. Burning Lodge pole pine and some Elm and Ash. Nice and toasty.

It’s 50 OAT and 80 inside and I just loaded up for the night, lightly. Supposed to be in the 30’s by morning. Big issue is rain. We had a little over 4” by 5 pm and it’s raining again with another inch or so expected. Our sump pump is running and we have a couple of flooded areas in the yard that hopefully will be gone before it freezes up again later tomorrow for quite some time by the looks. Don’t need any unplanned skating rinks :headbang:

28F with a brisk west wind, bit of drizzle earlier, but no major precip. High of 30 tomorrow & cloudy. Just damp & dreary. Oak & Catalpa in the boiler.

The day started above freezing, now is 23° and a nasty Northern/NW wind that was up to 20 mph today. It's 23° now, and going down to 18 overnight. Burning some ash uglies and a sorta ugly piece of honey locust. 68° inside back by the thermostat. Probably a couple degrees warmer in the stove/ tv room.

Looks like 28 this morning. Beech and a piece of Maple in the Wood Gun right now. About an inch or two of new snow on the ground after all the other melted away in the last two days.

39 and getting really windy. Increasing wind and dropping temperatures today will bring us a few inches of snow tomorrow and back to reality. Coals will still be burning down for a couple hours yet.

Wild weather week. 40-50s. Burned a dead pine I cut and split about 2 months ago. Already dry, catches quickly, and stove stays around 400* for a bit. House is at 65*, comfy.

We dodged the heavy rain. I saw Portland doubled their record for daily rain fall yesterday. The front just moved through and winds were howling 30-40. Grill moved about 6 feet. Should be there soon!

-2f this morning with snow waiting to be re-located!

Looks like the lows over the next four days will be just the same....barely below zero.

34* out 69* in this morning. It looks like the temps aren't gonna move a whole lot the next few days here other than some cold nights. May get some more snow/rain between now and tomorrow night. I'm working on burning down some coals before loading up for the morning.

17*OST 67* gotta get it warmed up before anyone else wakes up. Was gone most of the day yesterday doing the fun shopping. Plan on finishing inside chores today and having allot of blue smoothies. Ash in the stove. I did bring in a few pieces of the house burner. Pine.

-4f outside. The birch and sugar maple in the hearth is blazing away, doors are shut, the mass is hot, and warming us nicely.
