Since my wife is starting school again for her masters, the little guy is going to be helping with wood and splitter controls more. The fender was bending a little from him standing on it and was also slippery so I made a little bolt on platform. Iv got some sandy grippy tape to put on there for traction too. My neighbor also gave me the stand for the front of the splitter and i removed the stock foot.
Nice! Maybe upgrade it with a Captains Chair and a sign on the back that says Bossman. That's a sweet hitch/lift/foot/thingy. I keep thinking about switching my Troy-Bilt off to one of them. The one that came on it is such a cheap piece of junk. But then again, I keep thinking about selling it and getting a real splitter too.
I think my granddaughter was 5 when I taught her how to run the lever on the splitter. Now she is 10 and got skid steer lessons last week. She is the best hoarding helper I have
Nice. I remember years ago when I also fixed that front end. Much better with the wheel and no more pinched fingers with the junk they put on.
