Asplundh is taking down a sugar maple across the street from me. I just asked one of the people who lives there, the daughter of the homeowner, if I could have the wood. She said yes, as long as it was alright with her dad. I have to stay out of the way, until all the cutting is done.
They're cutting the main trunk now, had to jockey the buckets around to avoid the power lines. The skinny trunk in the background is coming down too.
They are just cleaning up. They're coming back at 8A tomorrow to take the trunk down. I talked to Dad, gave him my name and number, he was a little dubious that I could take it all, but said I can have it.
