Building my way up tonight

    image.jpg came home. Son started up stove prior to my arrival. 3” fresh snow on the ground. Started off with kindling and small poplar splits. Next up white birch. After dinner 6” oak splits (along with a 3 ounce pour of 100 proof Knob Creek) and then two 6” Locust for bedtime.

    Gotta love a well planned burn. AND YES THE STOCKINGS ARE FAR ENOUGH AWAY FROM THE FIRE. They are 16” above the glass and a foot out from it. Been hung just like that for every Christmas since 2012
