What is everyone using to store there pictures. I've been using Imageshack, but they now charge. Used to be free. Cheapest plan is $3.99/month, or $37.99/year.

I set up a google account and uploaded some photos. How do you convert the image to a forum link?

Click upload a file at the bottom of the text box and you should be able to select pics from your camera roll or photo library.

That’s to upload pics, I meant to get pics already uploaded into google photos on a forum like this one. I figured out how to get the link here, but was hoping there was a way to get the actual picture shown without having to click on a link to see it

I use imgur.com. Very much like PhotoBucket used to be.

    It's free for general use.
    Upload your pics.
It creates the links for different ways to share them.
    Cut and paste them.

I figured two ways now to link google photos here, but they both have a link you have to click on, then it shows my whole album including name, etc.

    Maybe I'll try imgur

I simply use my computer as the hard drive is large enough for all our photos and videos and we have lots. I tried photobucket once just to share some pictures with others but that site went south.

You can turn the Google Photos share links into embeddable images here: Embed Google Photos in your Website

Just paste in the Google Share link, and it will generate a embedded image link that you can use here in the forum.

I found one of my shared images from photobucket published in someone else's photography book.
I didn't pursue it, but my photobucket content has mostly been deleted and now only has a couple really old poor quality images left on it.
I really should delete the whole account.

Except for the few images from my iphone that I've uploaded/shared to the server(s) here, Lately I've used Postimage.org — free image hosting / image upload and had the images expire in several days if not hours.

I've never (even tried to) sold an image but it irritates me somewhat finding out someone else has used one of mine to make $$$$ or even promoted it as their own.

Watermarks can be a little helpful , but there are those that can and will just "photoshop" them out.

I tried it, so you still have to click on the link to open the image, but the access to the other images in the google account and the username, etc will be not shown?

I use PBase. $25 a year. No advertising, no need for guests to register. I love it. I've used it for over 10 years.
