Nice work ZAP. You have some nice looking BTU stacks there. I think you could say you have gotten your money's worth out of that wagon.
I'm not sure about great but we'll settle for seasoned. After a night off, I'll finish the Cherry stack tonight then it's time to move some four year old Beech to the front, I hate moving it but it's falling over, it's time for some chipper action so I can fix that row once it's moved.
This looks vaguely familiar (similar to mine). The posts are different though, and that wood on the left is dark all the way to the ground. How'd that happen?
The seasoned wood is actually in front of the Cherry, the Red & White Oak on the left has been up since the fall of 2010, the seasoned rounds (on the right) are American Hophornbeam that will be two or three years seasoned this fall, I'm thinking of moving that. The Oak was my first scrounge, it was about 32 miles oneway. It's always nice to see the difference in the colors, that area gets big time wind and sun.
I did some stacking later today, I finished the back row of Cherry, pic 9296 is where I was getting the Cherry from (I forgot to take a picture after I was done) pic 9297,98 & 99 is some soft maple, yellow birch,cherry and some sugar maple, I stacked the front row in pic 9300, I never did get the pics of the rest of the wood I moved. In pic 9302 you can see the empty spot I took the wood from, the beech on the right (falling over) gets moved next, it's been up since 2010, pic 9303 is some American Hophornbeam that I stacked in the winter on the ice & snow and pic 9304 is the Cherry that I did tonight, still need to add a bit more.

How far do you have to move it woody? I know your tight on space, but wouldn't it be nice to pull along side of it with the side by side and push those splits right into the tub......
About 75 yards to the front, if this stack goes then three more might go, the tub will be in that area this afternoon. In the new stacking area, I'll be leaving more room between rows. Gasifier, if I have a total of 28 cord (not face) once I'm done, that will be fine with me. Once I get the new area filled I might be looking for a spot back on the property I cut on so I can stack there. I'm thinking that in the new stacking area, it should hold just over 3 cord, we have over half of that split already, I'm looking forward to letting the saws rest for the summer, unless Mother Nature says different.
