what yall workn on now?

Got a bit of cherry, locust, and mulberry to split and stack...hopefully this week...

 

I've shifted my focus from moving dry wood into the shed, to setting up a new row of wood for '16.
Got started on splitting/stacking some Oak for that yesterday.
Plan to get the rest of what I have put in that stack today.
Once the weather clears, I'll either go get some more Oak (damm the ticks,....at least until I find one on me), or finish filling the shed. Should only take another couple days to fill it.
Nice pile of rounds there. Scrounged, or off your property?

Fishing, gardening, camping.......... Should be doing wood but having a hard time getting in the mood with this summer weather.

 

Going to mow ours and the neighbor's tonight, back to splitting tomorrow.

 

I'll finish the back row of Cherry then it's time I get the new stacking area ready, I should have it full by fall, I have about three cord if not more in the woods and around the house that needs splitting or stacking.

 

Oh yeah, forgot the gardening. Been out there too.

 

Yeah, gardening and planting trees too. The two peach trees are going in tonight, as will my pepper crop.

 

Oh..lol..im a degenerate scrounger......well i also have a good hook up at the utility..

 

Cut thy wood September through May.......June, July and August stay away

 

It is hard work for sure....heck i could stand to lose a few...wont be satisified till im 3 years ahead...well maybe...

 

For me to get three years ahead I would need to annex the neighbor's yard

 

After this last winter that old saying goes out the door/window.

I'm not sure my mind got baked on Sunday when I stacked all day in the sun, I woke up on Monday morning thinking it was still Sunday (I was ready for more stacking) I locked myself out of the garage Monday morning (thank god the wife was home) I finally feel normal.

 

You need to follow the new old saying...

 

I'm done with wood except for moving it up to the house with the loader and tarping my pile mid august. Sheds still full from 3 years ago. Had to get into about 1/8th of a cord this year but I restacked it full. Need to take a Saturday and head south for a 22 ton load of coal. I'm not waiting till Sept this year. Last year I did and never got any till Dec. due to O's clean energy policies shutting down mines.

 

Those policys are really hurtin us here in wv.....

Well, besides work at my regular job. I am cutting, splitting, stacking, mowing, weed eating, my farm work and taking care of mom's place. I hope to squeeze a little fishing in somewhere. lol....
