in the front yard last night. Noticed the front porch motion light kick on, so I got up to check as there wasn't any wind. 20' feet away was a nice buck, who must have noticed my movement. He turned to look at me, then the dogs started wanting to go out and "play" with him. They're noisy. That's when he bolted. This all happened within about 5 seconds or so.......no chance in heck for a pic. Might be time for a game cam on every corner of the exterior. Hmmm
There's a small herd that makes the rounds all winter, and I've seen 'em in the yard before but never that close. Usually over in the side yard 50-60' away is the closest. However, I know they come into the yard fairly close, because every sapling we've planted ends up being chewed by them and the bunnies. The path to the back field and the field itself usually has tracks that make it look like it's a deer expressway interchange. Need snow to really get the full picture, but you know that.
