Sometimes I feel like the don't do drugs commercial from the 80's. I do cocaine so I can work harder to get more cocaine so I can work harder..... I sell firewood so I can buy more equipment to sell more firewood to get more equipment....
Gotta spend money to make money....in any business. Can always sell the equipment and get some of your money back.
Try beekeeping ... build beehives during the winter, to sell in the spring, so that maybe you can almost break even next year. (It is my other addiction.) But next year, I am going to have a great honey harvest! (that's the official story, and I am sticking to it.)
Honey harvest? What’s that? You mean “Money harvest.” Harvested from my wallet. I still love keeping bees!
Similar to making maple syrup...if only i could tap just a few more trees, then my empire will be complete . There aren't enough trees in the woods to ever get to the empire stage of things
Haha. Syrup is a tough game, too. If we tapped anymore trees here we’d be over capacity for our arch and pan. So we’d need new equipment....
And we also find that sometimes people buy equipment that they really do not need, but it makes them happy so it must be worth it! In my case, I have much more equipment than I used to have so I don't work as hard as I used to. But then, age does things like that in that you simply can not work like you are 40 years old when you are close to 80.
