    Awesome truck. What is it?

Love the tire pressure warning light. I put electrician tape over it on our vehicles (2002 Impala, 2010 corolla, 2006 RX330 and 2006 Tundra). This doesn't seem to be a reliable system in any vehicles I have ever owned.

09 Silverado that we got last year.

It came with 241,233 miles on it already.

The tire pressure systems blow. The left front stem is not communicating, so that light is always an annoyance.

Same issue on the Dodge, but fortunately it works great on the '96 Caddy, since there isn't one.

We get them at work at the clinic each year. Our nurses do it.

The only shots that ever bothered me were penicillin shots in the rear end as a child for strep throat. That was a wicked looking syringe and needle. We had a doctor that came to the house with her black bag, Dr. Lowrey. She was an anomaly, as there were relatively few woman doctors back then. She was old and stern too. With 5 siblings, often more than one of us was sick at a time. She would line us up and get to her business. We didn't dare fuss about it with her.

I just turned 71,000 miles on my 09' Silverado. She's a keeper!!!!!!!! I'm putting 4-5 M a year on it now that I'm retired, so I hope it is the last one I own.

WWW's work truck is a 2014 silverado, same problem!
I have to get blood drawn often, all of them are great with the exception of 2. Both of the two different hemotologists were icky women. The other one was kind but I needed a nausea shot after surgery for nausea, holy cow that hip was sore for days! Not afraid of needles but I've never had needle I could not feel until the flu shot with this pharmacist. Amazing! Dentist drills are entirely different story..........

How are you keeping the rust monster at bay rottiman?

We had a 2004 Suburban that really got it bad. My brother has it now and it looks pretty bad. Brakes lines went too. The frame is OK however. The rear fenders and doors are shot.

I know what you mean about the dentist. I never had any teeth problems until about age 50, and then needed two crowns within a few years. I never even had a cavity until well after we were married.

Rust rot is a serious issue here as well.

Have some rusting at door bottoms and fender wells.

I hope the body can last till it hits 300,000 miles.

We drank water straight out of the cow tank as kids but I doubt anyone does that today.

Hey, Hovland isnt that near Grand Marais? We have to be in GM next July for a wedding at hippie hostel can you recommend a motel?
My wife and I choose to not sleep with the hippies at the hostel,,,

The tpms worked properly on my Audi. Never had an issue with it. Same on the 4runner. The 4runner will turn the tpms on, and it's because a tire is low. I can usually tell if it's the full sized spare pretty quickly.
Haven't had an issue on the Ford's in our family yet either.

I like the system in my f150 because I can see all the tires pressures from the dash at one time.

Yes we are 18 miles northeast of Grand Marais. We lived and raised our three children there until 1998, and still own property there, and our off grid cabin on some our original property. It is our home away from home.

Anyways, the hippy hostel was not there then, and I don't know anything about that other than where it is located on country road #14.

We have had guests stay at Aspen Inn in Grand Marais when we lived there, and also when we were building on our property after moving. It is right in town and very functional.

There are other options, including historical Nanibujou Lodge, which is few miles from our cabin on the Brule River. It is a bit further from the hostel than Grand Marais. Nice family owns it, and it has great dinning. Plus the lake and river converge on the grounds.

Religiously under oiled EVERY year since new, and there is not a lick of rust in, out and under including the fenders, frame, cab corners. The fellow at the body shop where I get it sprayed each year said it is one of the cleanest of that era that he has ever seen.

Hope it keeps up for you. If or when it doesn't, remember the black electricians tape to "fix" it.

I have spent a lot of time in your area. But always in a tent not a motel. Love the north shore and Boundary Waters.
