Anybody notice an increase of carpal tunnel symptoms during heavy CSS time of year?

It’s been bothering me for the last 3-4 years in the fall. Notice most very early in the morning when I’m tryin to sleep.

I’ve heard the wrist braces that you wear at night help,

    Any experience with this FHC?

Not that, but I'm fighting what I think is tennis elbow. I still have arm strength, I just can't do the lifting in certain ways. It's easy to pick up a heavy object and carry it around all day. But, heaven forbid try to put a bag of groceries in the back of my tiny s10.

I had a neighbor, she was a little fireball, cleaning lady, I saw her in action, holy cow tough act to follow. She wore those wrist braces when she could and also slept with them on and said they helped her. Hers went from her knuckles then several inches up her forearm above her wrist and had braces inside. Sorry you are having discomfort, loss of sleep sucks.

If I get flare ups from carpal tunnel, its always in my right hand. The brace definitely helps. I'll wear it in the evening, and then to bed.

My left thumb has been wonky when I try to grip the end of a split. Arnica oil seems to help. I'd like to try CBD oil but I don't know where to begin!

My wife is a Dental Hygienist and is starting to have carpal Tunnel symptoms. She says the arm brace helps a lot. Good luck!

Used to have sore wrist when I was much younger. Tried switching hands which helped for a while. Now, at this age, it is not a problem any longer.........
All it ever got me was thicker glasses.

Yes, definitely! The woodpile is not friendly to carpal tunnel.

And yes on the wrist braces at night and maybe the day sometimes! During sleep. your wrists will bend forward and that is something you don't want to do with carpal tunnel. The braces prevent the bending forward.

znRSJLh.jpg Check out these silver finger supports, for someone whose tendons are very loose and don't support the finger joints enough...

Most definitely the braces help as it gives the swelling a chance to lessen. I wore them almost constantly until I finally (kicking and screaming like a 400lb 2 year old girl) had the surgery.

I find that office work isn't great for carpal tunnel, but for me, doing work outside, been it on firewood, mowing the lawn etc, is therapy that helps any thumb pains.

I was given a wrist brace by the doctor, and it helps a little. I've also found that getting an ergonomic mouse for the computer is a huge help. Probably should've gotten an ergonomic mouse as soon as they were invented.

I have had Carpal Tunnel operations on both wrist. The braces definitely help at night.

I can guarantee your thumb problem is dequirentin tenosynovitis. I have had it both thumbs. In the left thumb it was definitely from firewood. Rt thumb I had operated on at the same time they did the carpal tunnel. On the left thumb I didn't have good insurance. Wore a thumb brace and took a high dose of Naproxen for about 3 months.
Midwinter Get youself a thumb brace for that wonky thumb.
EDIT: Thumb brace not a wrist brace like for carpal tunnel.
