What is this white stuff under stacked wood?

    Saw this pic on 'outdoors with the morgans' page. Do you think this is gravel or lime or pesticide or what is it under the stack? If it's not pesticide, I wonder if one could treat an area under a large stack like this for preventing termites from setting up camp. Just curious, we have lots of termites. I haven't really noticed a problem with them, however, in stacked wood. It's mostly when you have wood on the ground, like rounds. They sure get them!

    Could be diatomaceous earth which is used as a natural pesticide. I've sprinkled around some of my wood pallets in the past, dang termites :hair:

    Just make sure your wood is off the ground and termites won't want to take up shop there.
