I think he followed my advise - only another inch or so overnight (and weather guessers lowered the totals expected from up to a foot to 2-"). Still going to work from home since I already told my boss I would be. Give them more time to get the roads gooder and eventually I'll have to take care of the snow that fell after I snow blowed yesterday.

VWP takes customer service very seriously, and Chris is a great guy. Glad to hear they are taking care of you as they have with others previously. Have fun on the mill tour, it’s definitely a great learning experience and just plain cool to see the entire production process in person.

Don't forget it is Giving Tuesday (or Give Back Tuesday). Many companies are matching donations. FB is matching too so if you have a favorite cause, see if they have a special Giving Tuesday post and donate thru that. I gave to 4 causes - not much each but any little bit helps. And as an aside, the FB donate pages will have suggested amounts (I assume set by the cause because they were all different for me) - don't let that scare you, just change to what you want to give. Spent an hour and 20 minutes snow blowing. Came inside and 10 minutes later, guess what? [for those that guessed snow plow came by - fooled you :D] It started snowing again.

Total here for the 3 days is close to 20 inches. Drive to work from Kingston to Salem down Rt 111 this morning took an hour, road was pretty crappy.

Stopped in at East Coast in Hampstead inquiring about a Simplicity 2132 32" snowblower. After the sales guy tells me it's a great machine he says they have had issues with the company who bought Simplicity getting warranty work & parts done so they aren't going to be a Simplicity dealer much longer. They have a sale on a Redmax 30", features are similar price is $500 less. He said it appears it's the same unit as a Husquvarna. Can get the Simplicity at Brentwood Power Equipment but have heard mixed reviews on their customer service and on repairs. May take a ride over after work tomorrow.

The forum members up your way are going to start to get on you....you keep using the "sn*w" word with all the letters.....probably why they got a foot of snow up there.

Well rinse and Repeat 3:30 am fire up the snowblower and do what has to be done. This was a typical storm for Lunenyburg 26" of snow and over night each time which I hate by the way ! Timing is everything and the timing in the last few days has sucked .

Stove is working great, work sucks as usual but have the company Christmas Party this Saturday so won't be going up to Vermont until next weekend and look forward to it .
Got home and the wife called me as she helped the neighbor shovel enough to get her vehicle in and told me her Husband is driving all the way up from the Cape every night from work , so when I got done doing my homestead I headed over there and did their house. Great neighbors as they are a hard working couple with a couple of kids and it felt good to go over there and take care of it for them, of course she came out and said "you don't have to do this as her husband would do it when he got home in a couple of hours" well I know just how it feels and its a good feeling to just go into your house and chill without having to deal with the snow. Now chill for a bit and in Bed I Go another epic chitstorm lined up for tomorrow.

Hope all are well and warm

Not sure why everyone is down on the snow thing. I drive my truck through whatever to get to work, and when I get home, I grab a few beers, put them in the snow, and clear the yard with the snowblower. It's peaceful, looks nice, and when the job is done, hanging out for a while is relaxing, seeing what you just accomplished. This is New England....bring on the snow!

We ended up with 8 or 9 inches. Some places in NH got 36 inches. If I had to choose between 9 inches of heavy wet snow or 36 inches of powder, I'll take the powder any day. Now it looks like Christmas but I have yet to wire up my outside lights. It may be a challenge :tears:
