Welcome to the mix, glad to have you join us. Congratulations on the first home. Nice load of wood you got there.
Looks good drvn4wood! Nice truck and trailer! A little at a time goes a long way. Slow and steady and stay safe.
That's awesome! At least you got the best half of that old AMT626 (Technically not a Gator but who gives a ........) Is the hydraulic dump kit installed on that one? (They had a good dump setup.)
Yes.. predecessor to the Gator.. And yes, 12v hydraulic dump.. I've never been able to overload the goofy thing... Those axles are pretty stout...
Unfortunately they did it very slowly... Like 14MPH was as fast as we could ever get it going... My tractor could out run it... But they were great for picking rocks, and will float across wet hay fields without making ruts!!
That's all the faster they were ever designed to go. But low-impact hauling was their specialty. They would do nice backflips too if you got 'er cranking in reverse, hit the brakes and cut the wheel........ I've hauled a lot of manure, mulch, stone, dirt, weeds, wood, fertilizer, etc in those.
Thanks I appreciate it. I'm in Southeastern Pennsylvania. So far I love the truck. I bought it new in November and have 14k on it now with no issues. I had driven the 7.3 and the 5.9 Cummins extensively about 15 years ago and cannot believe the power the 6.7 puts down from the factory. The fuel economy isn't as good as the pre-emissions motors but I'm ok with that - I vary between 11 and 20 depending on what I'm doing. Love the truck though.
It will hold 1/4 of a cord... But that's a lot of weight for Levi's little Honda Recon to handle.. He works the crap out of that thing... I may get him something bigger eventually..
Those reckons are pretty fast for what they are too. There good for even adults too. Easy to get in and out of woods. I like my 300trx for that reason too. These new 4 wheelers are so big its hard to weave in and out of trees when there is no trail.
Yeah.. My big arctic cat will pull a ton, but it sure don't fit where that little 250 does... Sucks fuel too...
