It's 32° and I just finished the detail shoveling on the driveway, after my husband snowblowed it this morning. Waiting to see if snow will slide off the roof and onto the driveway.
I'm still working my way through my shoulder season wood, into a vein of boxelder today. I'm throwing a split of oak on top of each stove load, for some extra warmth.

Thanks! The clothes get dry quickly there. The gate is up to keep the 16 month old boy out of the stove....

The fans, both are EcoFans. Both were bought online and one was given back to me after my folks moved from an old slammer insert to a pellet insert. They are around 5 years old and still work great. Seem to help move the air around however I don't know if they make that much of a difference. 20191202_170733.jpg

31* outside 69 inside. Burning a mixture of hardwoods. A lot of Ash in the load.
Just got done hauling wood in for the next 2 days. Almost a disaster. As I came in the back door I had to take care of an emergency. Make note to self add another hole to the belt. The load was off balanced and when I lifted the load I stumble towards the wall. Thank goodness I regained my balance. I would have hit the wall and probably face planted in the litterbox. :bug::eek:

31° now, headed to the 20's overnight, so all the packy snow we got will freeze up solid. At least no more snow in the forecast! All out of shoulder season mix in the house, so I've switched to oak for the night.

It was in the low teens this morning with a nice 1" dusting of light snow. You could move it with a broom!

Has snow showers yesterday but not much fell. Looks like plenty of snow around the bay this morning again. Friend was hollering about how much snow he got yesterday; he'll get more today and we'll just laugh.

As cold as November was it is hard to believe how warm it has been for the past week. Our temperature range from highs to lows has not been even 10 degrees every day. More of the same expected here except maybe a big drop Friday night. Certainly no need to burn the good stuff yet.

High for the day was 38ºF. Partly cloudy in the AM, mostly cloudy this afternoon.
Almost out of oak so will be burning red maple (and pine) for quite a while. With the solar gain the morning it got kinda warm in here trying to keep a few coals in the stove between loads rather than let the stove go cold. Supposed to be a bit sunnier and warmer tomorrow so probably just a early AM burn of pine and then see how cool it is late afternoon. Our (forecast 1-3") nine to ten inches of snow is melted down to about 4-5.

Never mind Tom. I figured it out. Copied it and turned it and now it makes sense.
