Thursday AM we went up high to see some snow and maybe encounter a grouse. No grouse but found this orphan round of firewood that had fallen from a cutters truck. It looked so sad and solitary that I threw it in the pickup to bring home for some companionship and to eventually warm up. Currently resting in the shed with friends til I bring him inside for a warm up. I just couldn't let the poor guy freeze up there could I? axnwood1.jpg axnwood2.jpg

The little guy thinks your friends, until he looks up and sees you standing over him with an axe smiling. Your an animal, like Kathy Bates in Misery.

You feel better brining it home?

    Possibly, a therapy log?

Good for you to rescue that one!

We wouldn't want to see it split up from its friends. :axe:

Are you going to start a non profit organization called "adopt a round"?

Your warmth and kindness toward this frozen orphan will come back to you 4 fold, maybe 6 fold; it's a good size orphan! :D

I've heard of rescue dogs, but a rescue log? !

I'm sure you'll be able to provide it a, well, shall we say, "warm" home?

I've also heard that guard logs don't get along with cat-alpas.

    I'm here all week
