Up next is a pretty cool Poulan Wildthing 4018 chainsaw . Good 18 inch bar and chain . Good air filter and spark plug . Brand new gas and oil caps . I gutted the muffler a little bit....and made the outlet holes bigger . Starts and runs great ! Cool little saw with a lot of potential !! $45 . These go for more on Ebay..so dont pass it up !! Poulan 3400 . I have been saving this for a while as a project . But its time to let it go I guess . 140 psi compression.great spark from a new E3 spark plug . Good air filter . Needs an oil cap.....but its an oil cap that only fit these older 3400's.(just learned this) ! has a good 20 inch bar and chain . Has a good bucking spike . Great saw..and ready for a TLC to run . $45
3400 Countervibe,one of the best saws Poulan made IMO.Would pull a 20" bar/chain in oak/hickory all day long. Dad bought his new in May 1981,was the saw that I cut my teeth on so to speak.Incredible power/torque for a 56cc saw.After 100+ cords,6 bars,3 spark plugs,3 air filters,replaced clutch & cover & 30 full chisel chains hand filed to nothing it was basically retired around 2002.Needs a little carb work,tinkering now to be back in action.Even bought a 2nd decent complete one in summer 2011 for a future parts source. Still love to hear that old school throaty sound.....
Ugh... I was hoping the 3400 wasn't gone... I should have known Gary was on it He is a snipe when it comes to these saws!! LOL
I think there is a misunderstanding, I asked someone to save me from it, not to save it for me. I have a dozen or more of them and probably do not need any more. Grab it if you want it.

I have a Craftsman that is the same saw at home. So one will be parts for the other. Clean it up, sell it, and buy a nicer saw A guy has to do something..... I will continue to buy and sell fixer uppers. The new $500-$1,000 saw days are over I have more saws than I will ever need. I have owned most every model and I like what I have now. It took going through every new model, but I love the saws I have. As long as that 6400 pleases, then I won't be getting rid of anything in the near future. Just the little saws I buy, fix, and sell I think........
