I know I'm old school and finally getting with the times. Installed a WI FI extender and have a lot better signal in the shop now. Today put in a 50 inch.flat screen smart t.v. Now have beer fridge, woodstove and firewood hoarders on the flat screen,so cool this thing is great wish I did this long ago. It doesn't get much better.
im more tech challenged than anyone ,im going nuts trying to figure out how to ditch cable and use alternate servicesso i was wondering how you navigate that screen
War Department has been try to convince me to spring for one of those cuz I kill the data numbers at the bench in the garage.
Which wi-fi extender did you go with? I have been thinking about getting one because there are some places in the house the signal just doesn’t get to too well. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When my son was staying here and staying in his camper he worked during the day at his regular job, which means he spent a lot of time on the computer. Because we don't have a great signal and he wanted to use the wi-fi on our computer, he bought a "Prescitech". He plugged it in near the entry door and it worked great. I'm thinking this will perhaps also come in handy during our gtg next spring as we don't get a good signal at our house. Time will tell how well it will work for the gtg.
I don't like the idea of Smart TV's tracking what I do, where I go on the net or what I watch. You can turn an old laptop into a media centre PC using KODI. There are also add-ons for KODI. Firesticks can have software installed on them that will scrape the net for content as well.
