Heating oil isn't very popular in Wisconsin/ the UP. The infrastructure around here is all geared up for propane if there's no natural gas lines. There's a lot of natural gas lines running around here, so HHO really has less of a market.

I remember when I moved to Maine. We had an oil tank in the basement for the oil fired boiler. That boiler system also had domestic hot water on it too. The gas cook stove and range were nice too, but had 2 taller propane tanks that you had to monitor.

Remembering to check and have the LP tanks and the HHO filled was more than I typically dealt with. The cottages always had big LP tanks that need a full in summer for the best price, but two different tanks needing refilling in Maine was new to me.

What's funny was hearing the locals talk about the gas line that was brought into Rumford for the paper Mill's dryers. The gas dryers are so much more efficient than the old ones ( had to have been electric) so they brought in natural gas to that city.

Yeah it works. 2 d cell batteries last all season on that led lit wreath.

    We'll get our tree tomorrow.

Speaking of trees, here's what I got done in that pine tree in my yard that fell over in the wind.

There's a lot more mess from the branches than I thought. Yuck. It was 18" at the base.

Got things set up for the big storm tomorrow into Monday. Started the snowblower and got wood up to the house. Even changed the filter in the furnace just in case we need it. Haven’t turned it on once this season and just keep watching the price of heating oil go up every week. The forecasts are all over the place. We could get 8-15” depending on which one is right. Stayin’ inside with the stove keeping us in the high 70s. A little mulled wine and we're all set.

Did you ever try the ll bean jeans I suggested last summer? I loved their flannel lined jeans. When I got fat I went to bibs but now I think I can go back. I was a monster before I quit drinking. Lost over 80 lbs.

I have found the fleeced lined to be too warm most of the time. Nice when it’s really cold and your working in it. But too warm most times. I like the flannel lined best. I have three pair of lined jeans. Two flannel and one fleece. The fleece are in the drawer unless it’s well below zero.

I'm a Duluth Trading guy. On my fifth winter with their fire hose lined jeans. A little costlier but well worth it.

I find their clothing to be a few dollars more, but fit and durability and quality outweighs the cost in my book.

Their stuff seems to hold up well. While it's not low priced, it's not as expensive as Carhartt.

I'm pretty impressed with the Dickies insulated overalls though.

I spent a good portion of the day outside getting ready for the snow. I finally got the last of a 1.2 cord row finished and covered for next year. It was real slow going, as I was pulling all the bark off to make sure it will be done for year 4. The bark had been very loose, but the water had them frozen on.

Just gotta get the plow on and put the yard furniture away and I'll be ready tomorrow morning.
