Then you and your wife can come to visit us and she will feel right at home. We too like it around 80.
17f degrees here. We’ve had about a foot of snow fall since 11 pm last night. 75f in the house. Just took a hike with the pup! Here’s a view from the hill above my house. And the Jotul chewing on some pine and ash.
Ive been on the wet coast for 4 days. I got back late last night after 14 hours of driving and got the stove going right away. -5c/23f under mostly clear skies. Lodgpole and doug fir in the box at 9 am today. Should be ready for a reload when I get home shortly.
Had a couple inches of the wet stuff this morning. I hit the road before the plows so driving was a bit slower until I drove through and out of it. About an hour's worth. Roads were wet and clear this afternoon. The serious stuff is supposed to start tonight. Still hovering just below freezing.
That's a handsome stove, sir! Looks great with the stone behind it and a fire lit. 35 here - last night's fire carried the day, though I did go a little too long before relighting just now. Got tied up playing with the kids and time flies by! Oldest is home for Thanksgiving break too. We didn't notice it getting chilly I guess - but no problem. Plenty of pine and silver maple in the box choochin now!
50 outside 73 inside. No fire here since last night, only going to 45 overnight and up to almost 60 tomorrow with high wind and rain. Then we drop tomorrow, we'll let the boiler carry the load tonight if we need heat.
28F this morning. Maple and Pine in the Wood Gun gasifier. It’s been very warm here the last few days. Been saving on firewood. Looks like Friday before the colder stuff returns.
49* when I left this morning. Temps suppose to drop all day. Stove is cold till I get home from work.
36 and 77. Still burning the 3/4 load I put in at 7 pm. Almost ready to shovel some ash and reload now that I’ve been stirring the coals for a couple hours.
8" of what I can only assume is heart attack snow due to the temps being just under freezing. The winds are supposed to pick up later one but I noticed the power already blinked once. Not looking forward to moving that white heavy cement-like chit!
Think positive. If it's that wet and heavy maybe it won't drift as bad? Take is slow not to upset your back. Also take many beer breaks like I do.
Define on the take it slow, no more deadlines here. I push as much as I can. In the last two years, I have been using the snowblower a lot more than in the previous 18 years! Just checked again and it looks more like 10".....
