Wind here (Northern Kentucky) tomorrow is going to be crazy, constant 25 mph gusting to 50+ mph. There's gonna be a lot of blow downs! Sounds like this weekend will prime hoarding time!
Same here in michigan. Sharpen some chains and make some cash and get paid to get free wood . I've almost got the storm damage at my place cleaned up from 2 months ago .
Gotta love blowdowns. Hopefully no power outages. They seem to go hand in hand. Hoard on RB, hoard on!
Same here, but calling for it I believe on Thanksgiving Day. Def sounds like some good hoarding opportunities especially with the long weekend I should have some time to get out.
Tonight into tomorrow here. With some snow. Guess I better move a couple vehicles out from under my last giant Elm. Hang on! Winter cometh!
Looks like some good wind gusts are indeed on the way to SW Ohio. I actually lost power last week when we had a front move through.
Hey! We are just across the "big creek" from each other. Where in the Queen City are are you located?
The West side only about a half mile from the river. I've actually been to Rabbit Hash few times, been in the general store before burnt down.
If you've been to Rabbit Hash you, most likely, passed my stacks! Next time you are thinking about a visit to the "Hash" message me and we'll have ourselves a mini GTG!
Will do. Looks like the they're saying gusts of 55 now, so a little higher, hope this isn't a trend the next few hours.
That kind of wind is going to take down what's left of my dead standing ash. I guess tha's okay but I sure like knocking them down myself.
60 mph gust predicted here. Those winds will take down good healthy trees. With all the dead ash I’m expecting us to not have power. Glad we heat with wood!!
Some good soaking going on with gusts up to 40. Afew trees will be falling. I got home late afternoon and tarped the shed. Went out to add wood, and it is blowing rain now. I want windless frigid days. C'mon winter
Now they are saying winds in excess of 45mph. Not sure why they didn't leave it at 40-60? We've had a good amount of heavy rain here, and have more coming. Saturated ground with high winds should tip a few as well as take a few weak ones down too, plenty of firewood for everyone .
So far just a little breezy, nothing major. It's showing 10am as the kick off. My oldest is supposed to be in the sugarbush repairing lines today. We'll see if that happens.
