Heres a question- is a load of wood with no bark worth more, whether it be truckload or cords. I know a guy who used to buy no bark wood but he said its hard to find now. I met him a while ago just talking in an old neighborhood. Do you think he used to pay more for wood with no bark????

Eastern red cedar? Never burned it but heard its great kindling. Smells Heavenly! Excellent for fence/mailbox posts. I have a few bigger rounds of it in length that i dont have the heart to turn into firewood yet.
I believe Midwinter has hoarded some.
EDIT. It is ERC. I see the one round in the PU.

Good eye, pretty red color. Theres a few small dead ones and then theres a couple of bigger ones Maybe same size as a fire hydrant. My son and i just went outside and split some fresh maple for about an hour. He was busy foolin around with Tito and i brought the splitter down from the top and did some of that quarry maple.

Cool. That quarry score has gone by the wayside lately since youve been on a dead wood mission.
I split some more hickory this afternoon. Split some sugar maple at my friends and moved them here to be stacked. I was wheelbarrowing in the dark by spotlight. Ground too muddy from ground thaw to drive over.
I want to hit a big red oak roadside that Asplundh did. Probably two cord/four good PU fulls of primo stuff. Got the okay, but need to make room at my friends first. Had three mounds of rounds/quarters i have to SS there. This may be the last of the Asplundh wood for me. Unless i make another deal with my friend for additional space. I have 11-12 cord SS there now. Room for another two maybe.
