Ahh. I feel special :D... it seems that 2x a week we get 1 to 3 inches of wet snow not enough to plow or blow.. gets driven on and presto ice.. probably doesn’t help I get 5 to 10 vehicles a day up and down drive packing it in:jaw:

Wife and I have studded snows, we make it regardless of icy or NOT! Some have shown me videos that say good snow tires are better than studs! I disagree, all videos on flat ice. My ice is on a hill both ways.... I have studded (YAK tracks) on my shoes too.

Studded here too, best way imo. Studs make all the difference in ice.

Rained all day, fairly heavy at times. Got up to 51ºF outside.
Had a pine fire around 3PM and that'll do it until morning.

I'm just sitting here watching the old Hastings chug away in the downstairs living room. Glad I found you all several years ago, and thankful for the help and advice you've given me, both directly and by example in others' threads. Now off to bed with me! That deer's like Epstein, . It's not gonna kill itself!

30 F this morning. Pine and Maple in the Wood Gun. Going to continue to be warm with a high of 45 today. Not to cool down until Friday. Too sloppy for ground work with the backhoe until then.

40 here already, no reloading this morning since it’s sunny out and 79 inside. Nice deep bed of coals will keep it up through most of the day

Mild here also. Seems weird letting the fire go out at this time of the year. I was up around 2:00 this morning and thought about adding some wood to the coals that were in the stove but it was so warm in here I did not. I just started another fire about half an hour ago but it will be a small one.

It got down to 75 in here by 2 pm and the coals were mostly burnt down so I shoveled some ash and started a small fire with some shorts and uglies. Wife’s in the home office today and I have to keep it warm to keep her working  she prefers 80:picard:

99 and I did a little grocery shopping this early afternoon.

Chit chat with the cashier and she said there is a storm coming. What? (we asked) We haven't heard that one.

Oh yeah, she says; we're supposed to get 5".

    5"? That's normal, that's not a storm says I. :picard:

41F here after almost 50 today. Rain & wind by tomorrow afternoon they say. High wind warnings up till Wednesday, then maybe some snow & then another rain maker for the weekend. That'll screw up any firewooding plans.:headbang: Pine in the boiler.
