    My daughter and I drove from Amarillo, TX to Ruidoso, NM and picked up this Fisher Grandpa Bear Bicentennial today. My plan is to install this stove at the shop.

    Anything different from other Fishers being a bicentennial? Looks good.

    The bicentennial model has the large star with a 76 in it, size wise no difference.

    That is excellent. I was pretty young in 1976, but I remember it as a very patriotic time, celebrating the birthday of this nation. Nice piece of memorabilia there, enjoy it.

    I was 7 and also remember the Bicentennial. I've got a jar full of bicentennial quarters I saved during that time. I just can't bring myself to spend them.

    It looks like I have to go on vacation with my family in two weeks. A few things I could do if left alone for a week;

    1. Install my Fisher stove + build the baffle.
    2. Fix up my wood storage area.
    3. Soda blast the dozen chairs we picked from a friends old shop/barn.
    4. Work on a Homelite saw or two.
    5. Split the rest of my cut wood.

    See where this is going.:( :) WAIT the (7) vintage Homelites on CL are an hour from my inlaws house.:)
