Hey if the Grand Dame of this thread has no issues regarding the legitimacy of the post in question then I say we move this to a unanimous decision and congratulate blacktail on his great score!

I'm sorry if I over stepped my bounds here Miss Molly, I didn't mean to insinuate any acts of a nefarious nature was intended by a fellow member on this most respected site. I think I was still high on my black locust score from a few days ago and took some liberties with my position on this thread causing me to become the thing I hate most ...a "keyboard warrior". I humbly appreciate the small role I play here in our community of car hoarders and recognize I am in no position to doubt the abilities of another members vehicle and subsequently marginalize their accomplishments. I can assure you it wont happen again. :tip:

Finally got back there for another load. I did mostly branches and cleanup, but sliced off one big round as a proof of concept. FF491CB4-4073-4304-A160-F3EFE2F63394.jpeg

In Maryland anything that isn't dusted with a healthy layer of Old Bay Spice, people just aren't going to be interested

Haha ..almost forgot about the oak cannon! Wonder where it is today?
Yeah. I think you are an honorary member of CHTA, but I've been watching you and you play around in a lot of threads. In other words you get around a lot. There's a name for wood hoarders like you.
    Sorry Midwinter I couldn't resist:D

Think i called it a golfers log when i posted back in August. My only "legit" car hoard posting!
Its sitting below my deck next to the log hoop. One of those "i hate to burn this and i can make something out of it" logs that never get used for that purpose.
I get around with all the wood scores as well!

I got first crack at a sweet Craigslist giveaway this morning. I got two loads, first one some ash that I left at Mwalsh9152's house, forgot the pic! IMG_20191123_7124.jpg IMG_20191123_51734.jpg
Second load was black birch, that load came home with me. IMG_20191123_46341.jpg IMG_20191123_33851.jpg It was a great morning!

Wow that is some payload of black birch you crammed in your car! Also some beautiful black ash! I gotta say there's a lots of healthy tree diversity at Mwalsh9152 s place. So the birch was a craigslist score and you just split some ash at Mwalsh9152 s lot and left it there for next time? Not exactly sure what you meant. But yes, great morning!

Wait, I think I see the ash in the background of that suburban yard... so that must've been the craigslist score and the birch is from Mwalsh9152 ....I'm all confused:loco:

The yard in the pics was the Craigslist location. It was about 10 minutes from Mwalsh9152's, so I was kinda poaching in his territory, although he was all tied down and couldn't go himself. So, I quartered a load of ash rounds and dropped them at his house, as tax, since I knew missing out on this score was a hard blow. Then I went back to the score, and picked up the black birch for myself. I noticed that there is lots of it in the woods around there.
