Dumb parent of the year award today. Got ready to pick up kiddo from the bus, no keys. No spare keys. Ran around frantically looking for them without success. Called school district to drop her at last stop to get off with her little friend but WWW was able to meet her at the last stop there instead.

Glance outside to the driveway and my neighbor was sitting there idling for me, he noticed I did not go by and bus sitting on the vista. TOO CUTE!!!! Very nice and delightful eldery gentleman that hangs out in his garage and truck and we wave at and stop at to chat with and kiddo and I made them enchiladas a week or so ago, sweet guy. He said bus was waiting and told me to jump in but 1/2 way there the bus was gone (my phone call to school district) so he drove me home. Such care and kindess, WOW.

Meanwhile as I type this I now see part of my gold carabiner spare set sticking out from under my elevated keyboard :picard:

Idk, kiddo gets an extra 1/2 hour+ on the bus with her little bestie and WWW has an exuse to come home early?

I should because I'm not blonde and still make misadventures!

I'll pass the compliment on to him :)

Could make some changes on my normal keychain, I have a baby leatherman and good mini maglight on it and it gets used for too many things in the house beyond being driving (specifically the Blazer heater fan control ((broken switch)) and no dash lights), and my keys tend to get left where every the last person used the light or leatherman.

Did some insulation prep in the garage. Installed a new water heater at my parent's house. Put in a new 100 amp breaker and subpanel in my BILs garage. Smoked a chicken. Hung a little OSB on the ceiling in my garage. I think that's it for the day.

Been working on this a little when I have time. When I get home after work till dark a few days now. First of this week I got the rescue saw from the Fire Dept and put my blade on it to cut the drive. I had tried to dig under the foundation, but due to the hard clay ground and how wide and deep my foundation is I gave up on that and ordered some two foot drill bits from Amazon to use to drill my foundation. Before y'all say it's not deep enough under ground remember (or look) where I live. I have decided to go with PEX for ease of use while under my house and for adding on in future plumbing repairs in future. It will cost a bit more but buying off Amazon will save me a lot compared to Lowe's.

I took a few evenings to drill since I was letting the bit cool off every so often since I didn't want to overheat it (not sure if it matters on concrete bits) cause these were the cheapest ones I could get since it's basically a one time use (although I'm sure I can find a use later for them.). Yesterday I bottomed out the bit. I crawled back under the house. I didn't see the bit. So I took measurements to triangulate where it should be. I was going and more of an up angle than I thought so I didn't see it under the edge of the hole. I wasted like 45 minds digging down and over than I needed. Tonight when I ran the drill back in the hole so I could feel when the shovel or bar hit the bit, but when I got to the hole I saw concrete dust in the hole..I knew I was threw, started looking and I could just barely see the bit!! Success!!! Now I have about 10 more foot to trench under the drive. This is hard digging from the compacted ground over all these years though. Takes a digging bar and shovel to get down to the depth my existing line is to T off.
