I'm burning cottonwood and box elder. Trash, now that I know better. it was 17 this morning going to work. I stirred up the coals from last night's fire, got another good fire going again. Good times!

Been like spring all November. Lookin' like 6-8" of the Northern California white stuff for Thanksgiving. Thank you Lord! I have a lot of work to do this weekend so I can wake up, get the smoker rollin' and enjoy some hot buttered rum. :dancer:

After mid 50's yesterday it dropped to the high 30's last night and hung there most of the day. 36 now and 24 expected overnight. Have some choke cherry and aspen in the stove for the evening burn then we'll load some ash and beech. 72 inside right now.

Pretty mild here today but back in the low 30s now. Boiler got a mixed bag of 5 or 6 splits to get me through the night.

38* here and burning a mix of Cherry and Hard Maple in the just lit stove. My youngest son was off from college today and stocked the front porch boxes with wood. Hence the hard Maple which I normally wouldn't be using now, I have plenty so no problem.

31° outside this morning, I'm burning the mixed bag of small splits that is my shoulder season wood. I'm a little more than halfway through it. We had some wind last night, I hope it's died down.

Last night's silver maple is still throwing some heat - with the sun coming out and the wind dying overnight I guess we'll wait until after supper to fire back up. Should still have some coals to work with.. This 30* thing sure makes keeping up a lazy chore compared to -5*. :)

Cold really biting into you this morning. Helped a friend get a deer out and loaded onto his truck.

Ash in the stove but looks like it is supposed to warm up with 40's for the next several days.
