Saw this on the news this morning..........back to the drawing board on the armor glass pretty embarrassing. Starts at 7:30 in the vid.....
As a kid, I used to fold up paper airplanes that looked better, had less "environmental impact" and was not powered by coal.
When "they" started selling more trucks to mom's and a crew cab became the new mini van with leather and a heated steering wheel.
only reason i have my little escape is for fuel milage at around 96 miles a day it adds up in a hurry . 17or so on the f250 oil burner, 25+ on the escape in the colder weather 20 and 30 in the summer. in dollars about 10 a day for the truck and 5 for the roller skate. so if an eletric even a 1/4 ton shows up at a very reasonable price ( 60K is not reasonable) I would likely be onboard, but it has work like a truck not a grocery kart. ( already have that.)
If that’s where truck design is going, I’m keeping my 05 Chevy until I die. It may be held together with spray foam, duct tape and cable ties by then, but it’ll still look better than that. I can appreciate the whole electric thing (200 mile range would be all I’d need) but does it really have to look like a bad sci fi movie prop?
It's a start. 250, 300, or 500 mile battery range, unloaded. Starts at 40k. 1,2, or 3 motors. Presumably 1 motor is only 2wd? Now when the current ( pun intended) model x suv tows, it's range goes wayyyyyy down, not unlike on a ICE vehicle mpg goes down, but it supposedly drops worse than what mileage on ICE vehicles do. Spring for the 500 mile battery maybe it's not such an issue? The styling of this is a bit much. The rear seat headroom cannot be good, based on the roofline. I like the SS non easily dented body, but the glass needs to be revised. Lol
Wonder if they offer an optional gun rack? The stainless steel body is intriguing from a rust perspective. Wonder what the undercarriage/frame is made out of? I’m mostly curious why Tesla went so far into left field in the styling. Their cars don’t look bad. I can count on one hand the number I’ve seen on the roads, mostly in the southern part of the state. Probably because you can’t buy a Tesla in Michigan (gotta buy it out of state if you want one here).
I was thinking delirium and elcamino! Either way if you hit 85 mph things are going to get interesting!
Guess I was under the mistaken impression that real trucks were capable of hauling or towing something. The window demo was pretty funny though. Elon Musk is a scam artist.
If it actually can haul 14,000 lbs, then it can tow a lot. The issue is that it hasn't been verified yet.
