What would you do if trees grew square?

Every time I roll a 300lb pound log across the grass to my truck, I always think....thank you wood gods that trees don’t grow square. If theydid, I would noodle it down into a cylinder but that would suck. Only easy solution would be to hand split like some of u hardcore folk or travel with a bobcat. What say u!

At least all firewood transactions would be a “square deal”

we would call bucked logs "squares" instead of rounds! I would split as needed to lift and load without doing more damage to my back than ive already done!:pain:

Ok, I just listened. What a wonderful place...whiskey rivers...hmm, hmmm..jails made of tin..hmmm, hmm. Seems like paradise but no square trees! I will add this to my cigar smoking bourbon drinking playlist.

Gotta fix my winch controller before doing anything.
Did find a bandsaw mill that supposedly works cheap. New guy getting into the biz. That works fine by me.

I think some square trees would be neat. It would certainly make cribbing easier for some folks. Wait! Would we even need to crib the ends?
