You could pull the splitter straight up the hill and park it still attached to the tractor. I would pull past the spot you want to leave it and then back the splitter up on blocks to make it relatively level from front to rear. If you have a drop hitch for the BX, that would reduce how high the wheels need to be raised. As for securing the whole thing, I would chock all wheels on the tractor and splitter AND chain the tractor to a tree or two as an insurance policy. Grade 70 3/8” transport chain and if you have chain grabbing hooks on top of your loader, you can attach to that or just secure to the frame somehow. Might want assistance getting the whole thing in place, but properly secured, you ought to be able to make it work safely. Be careful if you do it...

Yes, photos are hard to tell. Most of this land is a steep hillside; I wish Mum had decided on another location but it is what it is.There is a road at the very top that I need to clear some trees on and another old logging road that has a large tree in the way. This land was cleared cut a long time back; hard to say when, could have been in the 50s judging by the tree sizes that grew back from the stumps. The local taxes are more than what they should be given that most of the land can't be built on, can't put a septic system in. The good thing is that the house is on the other side so the drive only has a little bit of slope to the main road.

My wife and I stopped by Ralphie Boy on the way to Rabbit Hash a couple of years ago. He ain’t exaggerating about the steep hill. We talked in his wood hoarding area but I sprained my neck looking up at his house.

How about just bringing the rounds back to a spot better suited work from? I don't split in the woods. Everything is brought to my work area in the round.

I find I will have to half or quarter the rounds to get them to my splitter area.

A picture with a level board, would show the pitch of the hill.

Put one of these on the 3 PH,
hook the splitter on and pull the whole rig to the processing area headed downhill. Set the parking brake on the tractor, loader on the ground, if you have one, then raise the 3 PH all the way, or as needed to level the log splitter...
