Mornin, just saw a free wood ad in nashua, 3 days old though i bet you saw it. Chip drop might work out for you being where you are
I like the idea of it being dropped in my yard, instead of hauling it in the RAV4. I specified no softwoods and no willow. I saw the one in Nashua, I think I was babysitting that day.
Ya we just took the chance on what we would get if anything. They say if you check both chips and logs you have a better chance. If it had been chips that would be ok as we could have used them for the garden, planting beds, landscaping, trails in the woods, chicken coop, etc. We live in an area that was hit hard by the Memorial day tornado. So lots of tree service companies in the area. We still have 4 large cherry trees down but they are located in a ravine area and hard to get to. We''ve already CSS about two cord of cherry. So I'll take free white oak already bucked up anytime. About half of the load was bucked at 16" and the rest was odd balls. But I can deal with that.
I signed up as well! Am nervous only because I live in a suburban development, can envision coming home after work and having a pile of logs half blocking the street in front of my house
