The filter is forward of the axle and the work area is rear of it. That along with the log cradles seem to make it pretty well protected I think.
Nice splitter JRSDWS. We will need pictures and possibly a video of it working. (If I have to do it so do you!) LOFL
That's great JR. You and Gasifier are the latest to join the hydraulics club. We're gonna need pics! Usually the new guy has to let all of the hoarders try out his machine… but Gas volunteered to drive his all around the country so it looks as tho you won't have to… They don't call him Gas fer nuthin… …
The Gravely finally came in...sort of. I ordered the 27 ton but a 34 ton that he ordered for somebody else came in earlier this week. Unfortunately, the guy who ordered the 34t got laid off from his job and was unable to take the splitter. I was offered the 34t at the 27t price so I jumped on it, of course. I split a little this afternoon with it and it's a strong unit. The Subaru engine starts first pull and is very quiet. I picked out some of the nastiest knotty stuff I had and she handled it all with ease. I have a lot of dead elm so I'm glad this finally came in.
34 ton is a huge machine! To get it at a 27T price is absolutely awesome! ! Congrats and love the pics!!
