Finally had a decent shooter come in after a hot doe and it couldn’t have went better! He came crashing through the woods grunting and stopped twenty yards broadside just long enough to let one fly. He went about thirty yards and piled up.

    "Decent shooter" is an understatement.

Great harvest and pix! Thanks for sharing. :tip:

Are you willing to share any details as weapon, state, etc.?

And thank you for the last picture not being the annoying, "at full arms length" pose.

    Here is the details:

I was hunting this morning and saw him chasing a doe but they never came within 60 yards of me. When I went back out that afternoon I switched stands hoping that eventually the doe would come to the food plot and drag him along with her.

Setup around 1 and had quite a few doe in and out but none that were hot or dragging a buck with them. Where I am hunting there is a ton of brush and it’s really dense so you can’t see back in it. Well about 5 pm I hear a bunch of crashing and two doe coming running out in the food plot and stop to look over their shoulder so I immediately stood up and started getting ready thinking something must be behind them. A few seconds later he comes crashing through and stops at about twenty yards broadside and puts his head down like he is getting ready to chase them and I let it fly. Couldn’t have stopped in a better spot. I was hunting with a Bowtech Experience and NAP Killzone broadheads. When I saw the shot hit I knew it was good. He ran about thirty yards and crashed into the ground. Feel very blessed it played out like it did

Congratulations to you @Certified 106. That is one fantastic buck. For sure they grow big in your state but it is not always easy to get one. You just made a terrific memory!

Ya know that about the only time I see those is just after hunting hours or just before , pictures like yours, and of course in days gone by at the registration stations, out of range, and or no way to take an ethical shot. Seriously Congratulations

I completely understand what you mean. I have hunted a lot of years and shot quite a few decent bucks but this is by far the best I have ever had the pleasure of dropping. It was almost surreal because it was exactly like you hope it will always go during rut including the stopping to give the perfect shot. Keep after it man your day will come.
