I brought my customer Joe with the OWB 2 loads of pine. Took me two hours and 15 mins for $40 a load of rounds. I also hand split a bunch to fill my wood rack inside. He’ll take everything i can bring him. Theres over 40 cords there atleast. This will last us a while. Its so nice cutting and loading pine, its a nice break from hardwood.
Hopefully that works out well for you. I wondered if you’re going to mass cut all those pines, you think they’d just be destined for your customer Joe. Sounds like you’re happy where you’re at with that though.
Ya mostly Joe but theres another guy with OWB down the road that might want some. I throw big chunks in Joes and it saves him alot on hardwood
All the wood is rt there and i can load the truck and drop it off in about an hour each load. All within a few miles from my house. Ill take that hourly rate and exercise all day
Right on. Thanks, Woodwhore. I burn a ton of Pine where I live. It burns great. It just doesn’t cook as long as the hardwood. On really cold nights, I’ll usually get up once around 3-4 am, and throw a couple more chunks in the stove to keep her goin.
Good guess! I was thinking it was some debilitating disease or something. “He’s got the OWB! Noooooooooooooo!” That’s what was going on in my head
I love burning the pine, it allows me to save hardwood, ya i feed it every few hours too but if i pack it shell go longer but then its 80 in the family room and kitchen.
Yeah, pine will heat your place quick, that’s for sure. That’s one of the things I love about it. If we get home late at night, I can always light up a quick pine fire to knock the chill off in a hurry.
Nice work. I agree on the workout and getting paid. Cant beat that. Wish i had someone for all the pine i have access to.
Another load to Joe. I am loving bucking this pine. Its alot of fun, i took the rakers down a bit more whoooeeee she’s a rippin. My last big pine score for Joe was that red pine, i like that stuff better and i couldnt help but to cut all the knots off because they were so loaded with resin. Not so much on the white pine. Logs pile on the left are over 30 feet long
Bet its hitting the spot! Looks like a cup of coffee is in order Heading to the porch for a arm load of pine myself shortly. And then some coffee!
