Awww man, we’ll see i thought the same thing. Ash is weird when it starts to go cuz it still seems almost the same but a little lighter. Idk im starting to pay alot more attention to it than i used to. Ill let you know tomorrow.
However i stopped and cut a dozen rounds of this new pine score and moisture content 5 minutes after cut was 20%. Also might have another owb customer for $50 a truckload of rounds. 1/4 mile from the hoard. My house is only maybe 2 miles from it also.
OMG, so when i went to my town hall to see who owned that ash tree by the side of the road i learned that it was actually our land at the school. I always thought our property line was only a few feet past our playground fence, not the case we own like the whole rest of the lot , what is like atleast an acre or more. The amazing fantastic news is that the rest of this land is littered with the biggest concentration of dead standing ash iv ever seen. And fallen ones are everywhere. I have to get pics today its beyond awesome its so incredible.
Oh and of course while i was over there drooling over all the ash, i carried a good size log back to my truck and im burning it rt now.
We always assumed the fence was our line, i should have known better cuz the rock walls show the layout and explain it perfectly. But you know what happens when you assume. This is awesome, the wood just keeps on comin

Im the Facilities Mgr. Grounds maintenance, janitorial engineer, its like owning a giant second home. I have already informed myself that it all needs to go. I love Ash!!!
Its a good gig, huh?! I run maintenance for the water utilities here in our town...we have a 5-ish acre woods at the one plant...lots of dead Ash and some Oak that needs to be cleaned up, seems never ending...too bad I'm the only employee that heats with wood!
