dropped a few maples today

    As you can see they were a pretty good size. I broke out the Richmond with the 24 inch bar. It was tight, hung one up, it was pretty tense for while.

    Great post ironpony - after a long week - that was just the laugh i needed - that bar looks pretty new - breaking it in on the maples?

    Dude, give those a couple years in the sun and wind and they should burn for a couple minutes apiece.....easy.
    Great haul.
    Some guys may have used a longer bar to avoid bending too much, but I see you toughed it out.

    Even the 24" bar may have needed an upgrade on those trees, monsters. I wonder how many chains you went through:saw:

    At least 3 years on the stacks. Gotta get those split really small or the middle centimeter of those will be at least 5% moisture.

    Thanks guys, thought it would b a good laugh. Wife has wanted them gone for a while, block the view of the bird feeders.

    There's gonna be a lot of brush in those tops. You gonna rent a chipper? I'd go 40HP diesel minimum if you do.
