Howdy! New member here. Firewoodhoardersclub sounded like a place I might belong. Surfed in from Arborsite.com. Here's one of my piles. What's up everybody?
It looks like mostly Douglas Fir? Do you sell, or is that all your personal stash? Awesome looking stacks!
It is mostly Doug Fir - good eye BushPilot. Just mine - it's whatever fell on my property during our epic snowzilla event in February '19. We were without power for 11 days, the wood is good to have on hand. It includes, Oregon White Oak, Pacific Madrone, Oregon Ash, Big Leaf Maple, Incense Cedar, White Fir, and the Douglas fir. Thanks for the warm welcome everybody, and throw another log an the fire.
Welcome Fellow PNW’er. I’d say you’re well in the right place! That snow storm was a doozie, just when I heard we weren’t getting more snow as 24 inches fell in a matter of days, you guys got clobbered. Good of you to come around here!
From one buZZ to another, WELCOME! Great to have you here! Very impressive stacks and work. Nicely done! And yes you are in the right place!
Welcome aboard Buzz Benton Nice pics! Just one bit of advice, don't forget to pay your membership dues before the trial period expires. Its a lot better price then. And, consider the lifetime membership since the benefits are so much greater. JK!!! ps...…….. Whats an arborist site???
Yous dang betcha! Yous gonna burn all dat der wood or is yous gonna make some paper? Welcome to the land of the woodenheads! A great place full of great folks and information.
Well from looking at your pics I would say you stay pretty busy. Some good looking stacks of firewood and welcome.
Dave - arborsite.com is a web site with pretty much the same kind of content as here. And another thing, they have really friendly people... just like here! PS... Do I get a turkey with that membership???
Yes on the turkey! I am in charge of handing out the turkeys. I received a semi trailer load this spring and have had it parked in the back field all summer. Don't worry, they were frozen when they got here last April. I don't know why, but there were sure a lot of flies and crows around the trailer all summer and when night fell, bear, coyotes and the occasional wolf would be hanging around....did I mention that the trailer was dripping something for about two months? Here is a pic of the tree next to the trailer.
Turkey Vultures - LOL.. You're funny Dave! If the Turkeys are a little "off" I can still feed them to my pet dog - here he is Halloween night just outside my bedroom - trick-or-treating.
