I have got company that leaves tomorrow and I am going to have to wait until this weekend to troubleshoot it,
For what it is worth the stove has been unplugged since late spring, but will try the metal across the plugs for starters. So far it has not been cold enough to be uncomfortable with just the furnace at 62 ish at night. But we may get some accumulation of snow this weekend.
My new puppy will love it!!

Austroflams, like most stoves, have current all the time, even off,and i have seen where they do not work properly, after sitting, then after leaving plugged in,the board warms up,and warms the capaciters.Although I do not think this is your problem.

Update, pulled stove out and looked at user panel and the female coupling that accepts the pigtail for auger, power etc had snapped and all five pins were bent and generally not making a good connection.
I ordered one from Austraflamm Integra pellet stove repair . Joe has done my circuit board work over the years. Really good guy to deal with. I paid full price @ $110 but joe said he will mail it out on Tuesday and give me a $50 credit when my board reaches him.
A few years ago during brutal cold snap my circuit board died, he sent me a new one before I had a chance to send mine in for exchange and only charged me the repair price. I was somewhat dumbfounded but extremely grateful
So it will be a few more days before another update.

You DO have the stove plugged into a really good surge protector, right?

Well, the connector on the user panel feeds the main board directly, and being old style,is easy to break or damage it (been there). Glad to hear Joe is still providing good service! Whe I visitd Stove Parts unlimited, they asked me about him,as they still use him for board repair, but had not had any yet this year to send in. Best of luck, Mark.

.. Good News and. not so good news...I got the new control board from Joe.
Stove is able to start but convection fan still comes on full blast when stove is plugged in.
I think that I have a wiring issue in that I have got one (of 2) wires from convection fan plugged in to the wrong terminal slot. (Bob is laughing right about now)
Although I do not remember disconnecting anyone of them when I did a deep clean late last spring.
    hmmmm

there are so few wires on Integra's,it is almost as simple as fixing the blinkers on a 68 VW bug, lol. Most people screw up plugging in the connections,on the "terminal board" on integras. But,at least you still have heat.

Maybe you could post some pics of your wiring so he can see if his is wrong.

Well he is partially wrong...sort of.
I pulled stove out yet again terminal connections are where they are supposed to be. But I realized I could not get any slack from one wire to convection fan, I looked further and found out I did something I didn't catch before.,..
When I replaced combustion fan after cleaning last season I had pinched one of the convection fan wires to the combustion fan housing, causing it to ground out and that is why it would start as soon as plugged in.
In Bobs last post on the dark side, which I read only briefly before it was taken down by the moderators, he indicated that there was a possibility of a wire grounding out somewhere. (Darn him )
The only thing left to do is adjust the pots on new control board.....
