Splitting old firewood with my oldest two

    I've got a pile of cottonwood, silver maple, and ponderosa pine that's about two years old. I've got my oldest two and my dag out there splitting with me.

    I imposed upon my self that I cant bring any more home until its all split and stacked.

    Thats great. Start em young. Fond memories when i was that little learning the axe and using a little buck saw to cut skinnies not that i wanted to do what dad was doing, i was obsessed with wood back then too!
    Hey Breechlock1 , if you need a babysitter, i dont mind watching them. Ive got some extra rounds that need attention!
    Quality time at its finest IMO!

    Yes, it is great if a family can work together....especially if they can do it without bickering.

    They're pretty good about that. I also dont tolerate it. But I fear my fist may be too iron as in they may be resentful when teens that I may drive them away. 7, 6,and 3. Dag is 12. The 3yo was out sitting on the truck roof supervising earlier
