My golf course superintendent buddy texted me. Trees started getting cut. I drove to look at the pile. 2 maples a red oak and an apple down already. DOZENS more to come. As I am short on storage space I will only be cutting and taking the best, straightest most manageable rounds. Of course I will share my bounty with Stoveaclause
I usually take care of myself and a few friends pretty good. We have about 5 cords of rounds to split already from last year and each of us has about 2 cords CSS at our houses (not much property on LI) I only take about 150 of the best, straightest, highest quality oak, cherry and locust to my house each winter. That yields about 2 cords. The amount we have access to is incredible The workers will even cut the rounds to 16” for us if I want. Then we buy them pizza and beer on Fridays and they love us
Is that "on par" for one of your scores? AND dont forget Bobby Maple! Nice score! I hear you on taking primo stuff. Limited on storage space myself, but still find a way! Cut some roadside on Wednesday and bucked the nicest knot free pieces. Rather haphazardly cut by Asplundh as usual. AWHNR!
