Loads are East/West the only rolling might be to roll up against the andirons.. and the box has some depth of 4 inches or more to the grate.. so no rolling out the door anywhere.

Which reminds me, if I haven't mentioned how friggin' awesome the ashpans are on these I'm mentioning it now. Weeks of 24X 7 between any ash disposal. Maybe even more with dryer wood. Best ashpan system I've seen, pretty much ditto on the IS and Progress.

Wow!! Congrats! Looks like you've got that nice stove all figured out. With some cool secondary burn, I'm sure you'll grow to love the stove. What stove did you have before this one?

I'm not familiar with that kind of furnace, but I think you'll enjoy the AS. I fill mine before I go to bed at night and will sometimes let it just burn down to ash 12 hours (or more later) then maybe replenish after dinner and then before I go to bed. 24X7 for weeks at a time, while dealing with the ashes easily maybe every other week, or even less. It took me a while to get used to the draft settings needed. I found it needed more time wide open to get a good fire going before I engaged the cat, but then it ran great turned down to below 1 for draft, once it was up to temp. .75 seems to be a sweet spot for my burns with my chimney on most low 30s or below days.

That's a good thing...they are a big box/farm store type of furnace...kinda have a reputation for being POS.

If there’s that big of a deal with a clearance issue on a masonry chimney with a good clay liner then that liner is the least of your problems.

    EDIT:
This post may have been meant for another thread. Not sure how it got here.
