Should I get this? Wood ID

    My bet would be Siberian elm. I found that stuff is super heavy but after split and stack dries and lightens up quickly

    Eh, it's gone. I was going to stop today, but I was messaged that it was gone.

    If I want more wood, I can simply just drop either an ash at the house, out at my wood lot, or at my buddy's house.

    I do think the big stuff was Siberian elm. Which is good. Not as good as ash or Norway maple though.

    You got plenty access to it and I believe you said a friend has given you access to his woods where you split? I maybe a little murky detailed....last time you posted about it was probably at least a year ago read by me.

    Yep. You got it right. I can cut in my wood lot and my buddy's (technically his dad's) 24 acres. I've got plenty of box elder there bucked up, and a lot more to cut. That's just one tiny area, but the box elders are good sized there. Now that the corn is harvested, I can also drop that big 30" or so dead standing elm

    Hey if it's free.. as long as you have a hydraulic splitter .. if it is elm. Looks "elmish".. lol
