Todays work, gets dark so early now ill be working under spotlights alot this winter. Pic of whats left at this freebie load of oak. 576 went down today, im hoping its just the plug wire. Theres about 6 or 7 logs on the left buried under leaves and sawdust, i brought the blower with me to try and get all that crap out of there. Bark is all falling off this stuff, not a bad thing though.
Looks good. Split up some three year old red oak that was in rounds, half’s and quarters this summer. Wet and heavy but split like butter and no degradation in the wood. Like midwinter said. Love me some old oak.
or water LOL My mom was trying to bring some of the red oak that just fell down into her cellar. Heavy wood is good wood. Can’t teach an old farm girl new tricks.
