long term lurker on the forum but newly joined to post.
Some photos of my ‘setup’ here and current project of a large red oak that fell in recent storms.

Most all my wood is from standing dead or storm downed trees and limbs on our land.

    Wow, loving that woodshed.
    :dex:

    Nice insert.
    What make/model?

That's a lot of standing dead and storm damaged trees to make those stacks.
    :faint:

    Once again, welcome aboard.

Welcome! Nice setup you have there! I don’t know how much you burn annually but that’s a good board. Beautiful spot as well.

Insert is a Jotul I believe
The wife picked it out, I just have to feed it. It works great and the forced air blower setup really pumps the heat.

On our land we have about ten miles of mountain biking trails that we keep open, tending those means we are constantly having trees to cut out and remove that fall

    Welcome to the forum Shawn.

Love the woodshed for sure. A nice idea. Sounds like you have a good place there and I'm betting it is quite a job keeping those trails open.

Would you care to comment on your avatar?

It is the thimble shoals light house in the southern Chesapeake bay at the mouth of the James River. It appears someone ventured in a little too close and lost an outrigger to the platform.

Some great wood and work Shawn T. I love that wood shed and the way you stack for air circulation. Is each "cube" a certain volume or how is it sorted?
Glad that you decided to join and share your hard work pics with us!

The cubes in the log racks are 4’ x 8’
    Whole rack is 8’ x 16’

It’s mostly just the dimensional lumber I bought to make them out of.
The design was to allow air circulation freely around and through the racks under the covered area.
The roof is built onto a section of concrete that used to be a dog kennel, so big time slope to drain on it etc. hence the racks had to be constructed angled

Welcome Shawn, man that is an awesome wood shed, dig the rope lighting. Can you take a pic of the shed from a distance, what size is it?

Yes, welcome to FHC Shawn T.

I concur on the tractor comment. My wife has owned a 2nd, 3rd ( like yours) and now a 4th gen 4runner.

Do you have a tractor or an ATV? One of those would really help with trail work.

I think he was commenting on the tractor in the background of the fire pit photo. It’s what does most of the wood hauling and moving around the place.

I’ll try to get some later yes.
The LED lights work great for providing enough light and not using a ton of electricity or drawing in a ton of bugs during the summer months.

The area for the wood itself is probably 25’ by 25’ or so.

The main garage it is off of is probably 25’x60’
