I was in your neighborhood last week, I think.
Spent a few days in Savanah. Is that near you?

Yes, good ol' Wallyworld! Ironically, that's the only tree I saw down yesterday morning. It was all sticks and leaves!

Thanks! It's actually a minor bump in the road. I looked through my records last night and I bought that trailer in October 2004 for a total of $269 delivered. That included a $49 spare. Given all the stuff I've hauled with it over the years, I'd say I got my money's worth. It held up well for a Harbor Frieght product that lived outside. It was at the point where it was going to need a good rehabbing; clean up the wiring, a full repaint and new decking along with a few new 2x4's for the sides. So I was at the point of deciding to work on it or get a new one. Decision has been made for me!

Cool...you were about 2 1/2 hrs SE of us, look for Sandersville on the map. Savannah is a beautiful old City.

Feel for all you out east. Wind can really do some big time damage.

Just to say I accomplished something today I disengaged the trunk to drop it a little lower to the ground. Cut some of the maple saplings that were crushed under it. And no the log arch couldn’t just pull the trunk off and down. I tried but no luck. Just picks the atv up in the air.
My thoughts are to pull the small maples out in 16-20’ foot lengths. Then cut the trunk into log length leaving the top. Then I’ll try the trailer winch to see if I can pull the entire top out of the hedgerow and into the trail. Easier to cut up if it’ll come out.
I think that’s the biggest ant mess I’ve ever seen. Amazing the tree didn’t seem sick.

It’s a cool spot. Only got to see it while walking to dinner in the historic district or from the bar on the roof of the hotel on the Savanah River. Very cool watching those giant cargo ships pass so close.
I recommend a spot called Aligator Soul the next time your there.

A self-loading trailer would be cool; but it looks like a few kinks still need to be worked out.

That is lousy. Sorry that happened.

Just split mine this week over a couple days after work. Just stacked it all today. Got over a cord. There’s about 1/3-1/2 still there that I will go back for soon.

Neighbor up the street hired me to buck a tangle of trees from the tornado. He kept wood.

I saw a nice little 5x8 dump trailer at the dump today. Made me jealous. My little 4x6 is technically a dump trailer, but it’s manual. You can only dump if you can actually lift the front end!

    A 6x12 would be awesome.

I think it’s time I did a little reconnoitering and see where they moved to. Getting a little too close for comfort.
