I just moved here 2yrs ago but there was a horrible ice storm about 7-8 yrs ago and my woods still need to be cleaned up. Some of its too rotted but some is still usable. Today was a good day to hit the woods and run a couple of tanks of fuel through the 391. Before I headed out, I took the opportunity to use some scrap plywood to build a box to carry my gear on the 4 wheeler. I should have done that a long time ago!

I cut and bucked a little over a cord and stacked it by the trail. I’ll clean up some more over the next month or so and then haul it to the splitter.

I missed my target landing on one by about 3 feet and wedged this one between two trees. I think I need to put a jack in there to spread them enough to take the pressure off this last log.

it was nice and cool today. A good day for working outside. But it was still warm enough for my bees to be flying a little.

    Nice looking rounds Brad M.
It's nice to plan ahead and leave those rounds there for now. Someday in the future you might decide you don't feel like cutting down any more trees but would like to bring those rounds in and split them up.
It's good to have a choice in what you feel like doing.

Nice work on the atv box. I need to make one for my kawi. do you plan on painting the box? a good oil based paint will protect the plywood when you get rained on.

It's all oak. Mostly red oak but a little white.
