I’ll have to go measure the stump from an ash I did last winter. I’m thinking it was 42”, maybe not, seemed huge at the time! Yard tree. Dropped it directly across a street in town. Had the street blocked off all day. No permits, no special permission, nothing, just did it!! I love this small town,

This one was only 24", just a pita to get to all the stems.

That's a 36" bar buried in that pig.
Do quite a few of these & it gets old. That's Red Oak & really heavy.

The woodsplitter has a 4500lb winch and if the splitter is hooked up to the car or pickup I haven't found a round that cannot be lifted onto the splitter table .

When I was in the tree care industry, the boss bought a stihl 880 with a 60" bar because our husky 3120 with a 42" bar would not meet in the middle. It was a red maple that was not very tall when we cut it down. We flush cut it and ground the stump, must have been over 20 yards of grinding we hauled out of there.
Also took down a sycamore, the guy we hired to haul the wood, he could not pick up more than a 6 foot long piece with his tri axle mounted prentice loader. Both trees where within a few miles of each other in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia.

Right where I want to be.
Tree service dropped some trees clearing our power line, and one was at the edge of our yard. Pretty big White pine at about 33". I had a 20" b/c at the time.
That was fun, and since I was still fairly new at filing, a lot of those rounds had some pretty cool curved cuts. :picard::D
I probably posted pics, but that would have been on the "other" site, since it was in '08 or '09 I believe.

In all honesty, I did not cut that cottonwood. The biggest that I can recall was many moons ago when working in the woods I cut something I think a little over 50". I think it was using a 42" bar or something close but don't remember. The largest I've cut on our place for firewood was a 34" ash and I cut it with a Stihl 290 using a 16" bar. One ReelFaster now owns that saw.

Does it count if I cut the stumps down after the tree service fell and bucked the biggest logs?

Is that the saw that was delivered via Well Seasoned’s GTG last summer (2018)?

I seem to recall a saw making its way through for somebody. Paying it forward!. Very cool!

We took this one down after a storm broke out the top. Cut with 029 Super with 25" bar, each round avg 970#. Almost 8K of wood on the trailer. FB_IMG_1549200659192.jpg The round on the very back of the trailer, sitting flat, after it was unloaded. I'm 6' tall. FB_IMG_1549203245638.jpg
46" white oak blow down we cleaned up. 6' log was all the 30hp 'Bota could handle. IMG_20180402_080118.jpg
